Rules:
1) Each month there will be a featured character(up to 3) , artists wishing to participate should create an image of the featured character and send it to magsub@monthlyanimegaijin.com

2) The submissions should be no larger than 600 pixels wide and 150k in size. Artists are encouraged to include a description along with their image and also their web site URL if they wish. These will be posted with the image.

3) Submissions will be due by MIDNIGHT (Central time) on the 20th of each month. Late submissions will be posted but not eligible for voting. Voting will begin on the 21st and continue until the 5th of the following month. On the 6th, the winner will be announced and contacted to have their character featured.

4) Voting will be similar to the MAG with one difference. There will still be art and creative categories but you will only be allowed to vote for 1 picture in each category. Votes received not following this rule will be thrown out.

Overall winner will be decided by a coin-toss between the winner of each category.

Eligibility:
The MAG-DX is only open to artists that meet certain criteria: To have their character featured in the MAG-DX the artist either..

a) must have won the MAG and had their characters featured at the MAG, making them ineligible to win the MAG again.

Or...

b) must have won one of the categories but lost the coin toss, therefore becoming "first runner up" They will be eligible to participate in BOTH the MAG and DX until they win the MAG at which time they will only be eligible to participate in DX.

The names of artists eligible to participate in the MAG-DX will be included on the ELIGIBILITY LIST (it will also be updated with the date they are to be eligible for voting after they win)

*NOTE* Images received from artists not on the Eligibility List will be posted with the other entries, but will not be eligible for voting.

Featured Characters and ineligibility time limits:
When an artist wins the MAG-DX, they will have the opportunity to feature up to 3 of their original characters in an upcoming month. They will then become ineligible to win for a period of 2 months after their character is featured. Example: The winner of January will have their character featured in March, so from the point that they win, they will be ineligible to win again until after June. If they win a second time, the period will be increased to 4 months, a third time (and any after that) will see the time increase to 6 months. The ineligibility period will be tracked on the Eligibility List.
